Note from donor: "Some of the same group sitting on the edge of the lawn across the street from Liberty Corner (N.W. corner of Guadalupe and 34th - Don Weedon's Service Center is now on this corner). We had ridden the street car out to Austin Dam and hiked from there through the hills (wholly undeveloped and practically uninhabited) to Camp Mabry and back on 34th to Liberty Corner to catch the street car. In those days a Sunday afternoon outing for a group of young men required more energy but was far less expensive, and probably just as enjoyable, as now. Carl B. Lyda August 30, 1973." Note on back of photo: "Claude Campbell, Louis Kacurek, Carl Lyda, Ernest Hoening and Harold Ingraham. Sittin on N.W. corner of Guadalupe and 34th Streets - across 34th from Liberty Corner - about 1921."
