2-4-2 steam locomotive built by Rogers Locomotive Works about 1875. An operator stands on the pilot attached to the engine by the front center coupler.

Postcard shows the Enfield Special passenger car that ran on the Southern Pacific Railroad Line from Austin, Texas to Washington D.C. at the Southern Pacific terminal at 301 Congress Ave.

Emilio Carranza was a Mexican "Ace" who was killed in an accident in New Jersey. Officials from city and state governments as well as the Austin Chamber of Commerce met the train.
