John W. Carpenter pictured with projector at the Capitol Theater. A handwritten note on back expresses thanks from Carpenter to Local 205. John W. Carpenter was a longtime projectionist working in Austin, including at the Capitol when the ITC took over the theater. He is shown here in the Capitol projection booth in the early 1930s. He gave this picture to his union, the IATSE (which he joined in 1912).
