"From the records in the District and County Court of Travis County, checked by the survey notes of the city taken with the transit. In compiling this map, Mr. Pope was assisted in the scrutiny of the official records by Mr. D. Gracy, of the firm of Bergen, Daniel & Gracy, than whom (by his position as both Land Agent and late Assistant County Clerk) there is not a more competent authority on the subdivision and partition of Austin city property."
